Secure funding to make the carnival a success.
The Grants Committee is responsible for identifying, applying for, and managing grants that help fund the carnival. They provide financial support to government entities, foundations, and other organizations.
Position Description: The Festival Management Committee is seeking a strategic and dynamic volunteer who will assist in identifying, applying for, and managing grants that help fund the carnival. In addition, provide financial support to government entities, foundations, and other organizations. As a committee member, you will have the opportunity to contribute your expertise, passion, and ideas to help shape the strategic direction and success of our organization and board.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaboration: Work closely with fellow Grants board members, staff, and volunteers to support and advance the organization's mission and strategic objectives.
Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development and implementation of the organization's strategic plan, ensuring alignment with its mission and goals.
Policy and Governance: Provide input on policies, bylaws, and governance practices to ensure the organization operates ethically, transparently, and in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Fundraising: Assist in identifying and cultivating potential donors, sponsors, and partners, as well as supporting fundraising activities to ensure the financial stability of the organization.
Advocacy and Outreach: Represent the organization in a positive and professional manner to external stakeholders, including attending events, meetings, and networking opportunities.
Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: Promote and support diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives within the organization and in its programs and services.

· Passion for the mission and values of the Festival Management Committee
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Demonstrated leadership and teamwork abilities.
· Willingness to commit time and energy to committee meetings, events, and related activities.
